SeaLife Spy LLC - Booking Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with SeaLife Spy LLC for your stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rental, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Booking Process

  • Booking Confirmation: All bookings must be made in advance through our website or directly via phone or email. A confirmed booking will be sent to you upon receipt of your payment.
  • Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your rental. We accept payments via Square.

2. Rental Period

  • Rental Duration: The rental period begins at the scheduled pick-up time and ends at the scheduled return time. If you exceed the agreed rental time, additional charges may apply.
  • Late Returns: Late returns are subject to an additional late fee as specified at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations and Modifications

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Free cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled rental time.
    • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of your rental time.
    • In the event of severe weather (e.g., storms, high winds), we will offer a rescheduling of your rental or provide a full refund.

  • Modifications: If you wish to modify your booking (e.g., change the rental time or date), please notify us as soon as possible. Modifications are subject to availability.

4. Rental Requirements

  • Age Requirement: Renters must be at least 18 years old to sign the rental agreement. Renters under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf.
  • Health and Fitness: You confirm that you are in good physical condition and able to swim confidently in open water. You agree to follow all safety guidelines, including wearing a personal flotation device (PFD) at all times.
  • Alcohol and Drugs: The use of alcohol or drugs before or during your rental is strictly prohibited. Renters found under the influence will be asked to return the equipment immediately without a refund.
  • Damage to Equipment: You agree to return the rental equipment in the same condition as received. You are responsible for any damage or loss of equipment during the rental period. Charges for repair or replacement will apply.

5. Liability and Insurance

  • Release of Liability: By booking a rental, you acknowledge that you have read and signed the SeaLife Spy LLC SUP Rental Waiver and Release of Liability, which outlines the risks and your responsibilities during the rental.
  • Insurance: SeaLife Spy LLC does not provide personal insurance for rental activities. It is recommended that you have your own travel or accident insurance for coverage during your rental.

6. Weather and Environmental Conditions

  • Weather: We recommend checking the weather conditions before your rental. If conditions are unsafe for SUP activities, SeaLife Spy LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule your rental.
  • Environmental Hazards: SeaLife Spy LLC is not responsible for any natural hazards such as tides, currents, marine life, or weather conditions that may affect your experience. You are responsible for your safety and are advised to follow all posted guidelines and warnings.

7. Use of Likeness

By booking a rental, you grant SeaLife Spy LLC permission to use photographs, videos, or other media of you during your rental for promotional purposes, without compensation, and waive any claims related to such use.

8. Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action involving the parties to this agreement will be brought within the jurisdiction of Florida.
